Sparks electrifying as he takes event 2 down
Dans sparks showed guts and determination to pull the final back from 3-1 down to be potting the winning black for the 5-3 win.
Unlucky to michael Brisley who had played well taken out a couple of easy wins including old timer but good to se him still trying Andy holland.l
Michael then had to step up a gear to take out lee Batsford and then Nemeer al-jerryan before taking out liam wilson in the semi finals.
Dan sparks started off having to overcome Essex teammate spencer Cummings & lee storey.
Moving into the later stages sparko upped the gears taking out Peter Fleming, gary parsons and the Matt woods in the semis.
Once again a big thank you 71 players that turned up we once again look forward to seeing you at our next comp Saturday 2nd April 2016 for £100 a man champions league of pool
Morray Dolan put a very strong performance in finally overcoming Daniel baker 7-6 in the q ball champions league of pool.
A very strong field of 32 runners saw some tough groups drawn out early group casualties included lauckland Boyce, Ronnie sharp & Ian crowl.
The last 16 saw morray take out Danny Fry then a stunning 7-0 win in the q/finals before taking out pre tournament favourite Chris Heim in the semi finals.
Meanwhile Daniel baker made his way through a tough group which semi finalist Chris Heim.
A couple of tough matches against Rob Donkin & youssef gormatti both 7-6 saw Daniel into the semi's where he seemed to make light work of Micky Turner in beating him 7-2.
So well done again to Morray and we shall see you again on Saturday 15th August for our next comp.

Firstly would just like to say thanks to all 78 entrants who made the effort to play in this comp so close before Christmas.
Anyway to comp day due to the large field there was plenty prelims to go around.
Early casualties in 11am draw John perfect,Nemeer al-jeryan,Dave Langham & Stephen yard.
However Mckenzie was making his way through with wins over Langham,Davis and then Phillips before beating Craig Ottley in the q/finals.
Into the 2pm draw again early casualties in the prelims and early rounds included multiple times champion Chris Heim,Kieran hawkins,Dan sparks & danny James.
Meanwhile rob was having an easier start to the day as his opponent could not make it so with hitting a ball he was in the last 32.
Rob then defeated Chas Coakley 5-3 then Toby bolt & an off colour Rory cooper to reach the semis.

So to the semi finals
Dave Mckenzie made light work off what looked a tired Paul Mchale and the 5-1 score line showed that.
Second semi final saw Liam wilson put in a brave effort against to Donkin only to lose out on the final balls and record a 4-5 loss.

The final
Dave Mckenzie & rob Donkin fudging was never gonna be on the itinerary and so it proved they traded frames all through.
However some matches Mugabe turning points just when both players were looking tired rob went out freshen up and so it worked as he took the next two frames for the title and £410 cash prize.

Congratulations again to all the players
Yesterday even the last 16 players walked away with a well earned £20 each.

Thanks to all at the Qball sports bar for the new tables and great staff.

Lastly myself and jimmy would like to wish you a
Merry Christmas & a happy new year
